The BeeWalk season has arrived!

Last year, with help from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, some of our volunteers did a basic bumblebee ID course and set up a BeeWalk across the meadow. The BeeWalk survey scheme ( is a citizen science project to monitor bumblebee populations. We’ll be counting bees again this year, along our same transect, to keep adding data to the project.

If you’d like to join a BeeWalk, have a look at the calendar on the events page to see when the next walk is planned – they are on Thursdays or Sundays once a month.

In May there’ll be another chance to join a Bumblebee ID course.

But be aware: if the weather is bad, the bees won’t be flying so we won’t be walking!
