The Friends of Longrun have two events on the meadow at the beginning of December. It is a great opportunity to use the resources of the meadow for a greener Christmas.
First is a willow weaving workshop run by Stefan Jennings who built the willow cathedral. On Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December from 10am to 3pm, at the willow cathedral, he will help you make christmas wreaths and stars. This is a free event but a donation to the friends of Longrun would be appreciated. Please wear warm clothes and a pair of secateurs would be useful.
Also on the 2nd December Dave is holding a hedge laying opportunity for those who can’t make our Thursday morning sessions. Meet at the silver gates on Longrun Lane at 10am. It will be for 2hrs and you need to wear warm old clothes and stout footwear. Again this is a free event.
